true flexibilitY
There is true flexibility and the kind that can be 'just for show'.

Hello, this is Jerry.
He works in the garden.
Interview with Jerry:
Feldenkrais Times: "Hi Jerry. That looks fantastic, the way you're doing it. That's true multitasking."
Jerry: " Yeah, you know, I've always been looking for a way to talk to friends on the phone while working in the garden."
Feldenkrais Times: "It seems to be working."
Jerry: "Yeah, since last year I figured out how to control my toes as accurately as my fingers. Now I kind of have four hands, like a monkey (laughs). All the cherries are plump. I don't squeeze a single one."
Feldenkrais Times: "How many times a day do you stretch to get that loose up your leg?"
Jerry: "I rarely stretch, at least not to get flexible. I do Feldenkrais exercises."
Feldenkrais Times: "Thank you very much for the interview."
Jerry: "You're welcome."

Hello, these are three athletes stretching.
Interview with the three athletes:
Feldenkrais Times: "You can do a very straight splits."
Athlete 1: " Yes, even standing up. It looks so beautiful. I often stand in front of the mirror with it."
Feldenkrais Times: "Beautiful. Who are your role models?"
Athlete 2: "Dancers, gymnasts, celebrities. I'm so proud that I've been able to do this."
Athlete 3: "You guys have it good. I'm struggling and not getting anywhere."
Athlete 2: "You need willpower. You may be too soft. Try a pulley. Tie your leg up, and someone else pulls the leg up to the point of pain. It's an effective remedy from the Eighties. But not too hard honey, or you'll tear the muscle fibers."
Athlete 3: "I've already torn them twice. Since then I feel worse and sometimes have a headache afterwards."
Athlete 2: "Then maybe you're not so talented for it."
Feldenkrais Times: "What are you two skilled people doing with your splits. You want to look at yourself in the mirror, and feel beautiful, you said. And you?"
Athlete 2: " I don't know. I just do it. In the photo, I look strong."
Feldenkrais Times: "Yes, I guess that's true. Like a fighter. Can you move your toes while doing splits?"
Athlete 2: " My toes are in the shoe. Sometimes I don't feel them either when there's too much pulling in my thighs.
Athlete 1: "I can move the big one a bit when I'm relaxed and smiling, hihi."
Feldenkrais Times: "Great! Thank you very much for the interview."
Athlete 1 ,2, and 3 : " You're welcome."
With true flexibility you can start something active, keep your balance and also vary. Cherry picking like Jerry or maybe a controlled reversible karate kick.....
